A native of New York City, Dr. Natalie Geary received her B.A. in Medical Anthropology Summa Cum Laude from Harvard University before completing her M.D. at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and her residency at New York University. After several years in practice in New York, Dr. Geary moved to New Mexico to study public health and work in a hospital-based clinic. During this time, she founded a non-profit OnCall4Kids; which screened and treated children for nutritional deficiencies, developmental delays, and protracted illnesses. Dr. Geary worked on similar programs focusing on nutrition and health maintenance for the underserved in Indonesia, Thailand, and Malawi. 
 
In 2009, she accepted a position as Director of Executive Medicine at the University of Miami School of Medicine and spearheaded The Sayfie Center for corporate wellness program. Over the next five years, she was also appointed the Director of International Health, the Director of the Wellness Center, and joined the C-level administration team as Chief Patient Experience Officer. During this period, she oversaw the Integrative Medicine program, and taught undergraduate medical anthropology and nutritional healing courses. 

In 2019, Dr. Geary returned to Manhattan and reopened her private practice. Her practice is the integration of allopathic and functional medicine with a focus on the gut microbiome, inflammatory triggers of disease, and optimizing athletic performance. Her work addresses the management of stress, nutrition, hormonal imbalances, and lifestyle habits that impact on wellness. Dr. Geary's practice is centered on  achieving attainable changes that support sustainable wellness. 


The author of multiple articles, Dr. Geary has also written two books: 

The Food Cure for Kids: A Nutritional Approach to Your Child's Wellness, which is a guide for parents outlining the differences between allergy and intolerance;.

The South Beach Diet: The Gluten Solution, a collaboration with Dr. Arthur Agatston about the impact of gluten on the immune system and inflammatory disease.
